On A Night Like This

I love the night. I love everything about it. The loneliness. The tranquility and serenity. The peace. The silence. The cool temperature. The mesmerising beauty of the moon and the stars. The darkness, and the subtlety of it all. The way the night appeals to me is like no any other.

Tonight it is like any other night. At night nocturnal beasts roam the forest, but humans are cuddled up in their beds, enjoying the warmth cowering under their blankets. What an irony it is, for the night is eternally young - a pleasure for all.

Only a blind man sees darkness when there should be daylight - he knows not the true beauty of the night, but only the darkness of it. Let us embrace the night, and curse not the darkness that befalls us after dusk.

I love the night.
