Darkened Skies

Even in an age where technology has been assimilated into everyday life, the sun remains a vital part of the lives of many; of scientists, meteorologists, poets, artists, farmers and probably a whole horde of many other professions.

However, in an era where the skies are often shrouded by the clouds of death, destruction and disaster, we don't really get to see the malovalent sun. But we are confident, confident that the massive globe of gas and fire will continue to shine for the people of earth. We are confident.

But in a period where peace is rare, and war is cultured in the laboratory by using the seeds of hatred, people need to be reassured that their sun is burning away, brightly and surely. Insecurity bugs many a people in an uncertain world like today's. And the comfort the sun can bring is unlike any other. The sun provides for all lifeform that exists on earth, directly or indirectly, through it's infinite warmth and compassion. The healing rays of the life-giver has never been doubted.

There is no reason not to appreciate the marvels and wonders the sun can bring, but in an age where all we see are darkened skies, how many of us have actually noticed the existence of our sun?

Whatever it is, our sun is there, watching over us, nurturing us, bringing us hope, peace and comfort.
