On A Night Like This

I love the night. I love everything about it. The loneliness. The tranquility and serenity. The peace. The silence. The cool temperature. The mesmerising beauty of the moon and the stars. The darkness, and the subtlety of it all. The way the night appeals to me is like no any other.

Tonight it is like any other night. At night nocturnal beasts roam the forest, but humans are cuddled up in their beds, enjoying the warmth cowering under their blankets. What an irony it is, for the night is eternally young - a pleasure for all.

Only a blind man sees darkness when there should be daylight - he knows not the true beauty of the night, but only the darkness of it. Let us embrace the night, and curse not the darkness that befalls us after dusk.

I love the night.

Faith

Faith is about absolute belief in something you trust. The power of faith is undeniable, but at the same time faith has led men to become religious fanatics. It is said that the human will is capable of achieving virtually anyting. But it is also rigid mindsets - paradigms - that have prevented us from doing what we have always dreamt about accomplishing. Believe in yourself and follow your heart, and you will find the path destined for you.

Aftermath

No the heading is not a pun.

Finally, the Os are over. But honestly I do not feel elated. Nor estatic. It's not euphoria. It's a feeling that is uncomprehensible, a mix of relief, and yet at the same time, I feel lost, because I do not know where to go from here. Imagine in about 6 years time we have to embrace society and begin our working lives. I can't believe it... It must have been only yesterday when I was born, and only a moment ago when I first enrolled in CHS. Feels kind of weird...

We take for granted that the path for our education has been neatly laid and lit by the government, so that we do not feel... that we in fact are living in a merciless society where we have to make our own decisions. I believe the time has arrived for us to take control and decide what we want to achieve and be remembered as after we pass from this world.

Ever wondered why there are paranormal phenomenon? Man credits himself as the founding father of science and technology, often forgetting that he can never best the forces of nature. Thus, he tries to put an explanation to everything around him, so as to better understand his surroundings and subdue it. However, there are often times when things occurs and man cannot explain it scientifically. Hence, people attribute such occurences as works of God or higher beings, as the result of ghosts and ghouls, and a host of a multitude of forbidden science.

There are many areas of paranormal phenomenon, such as cryptozoology(crytos - Greek for hidden, hence the study of hidden animals, e.g. Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Thunderbird, living dinosaurs), forbidden archaeology(e.g. Dropa stones, humanoid footprint in 500 million year old rock), UFOs, earth mysteries(e.g. ball lightning, Bermuda Triangle, hollow earth theory), lost worlds(e.g. Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu - possibly referring to the same place), meta-physical beings(ghosts, spirits, poltergeists) and many other topics. Today I hope to share with you guys my unique interest. I believe that there will come a day when we will begin to understand these unusual phenomenon.

I'm getting tired of waiting in between papers. Why can't they put the more commonly taken papers together instead of flinging them to the back? Maybe it's for our own good as well. Sigh. This means more waiting time to the end of the O Levels. I'm feeling rather bored, there's really nothing to do, except to try to read To Kill A Mockingbird. That book is utterly boring and tasteless. Wonder how it became a bestseller anyway.

Today I am expounding on my beliefs that aliens do exist. They've probably played a crucial role in deciding mankind's destiny. Paleo-seti philosophy is a term to describe the belief of alien visitation even in antediluvian times. Sorry to the Christians but I believe the God you believe in are just mere aliens with technological wonders such as lasers, warp speed travel, cloning and even other forbidden secrets. This may explain how "God" created man, through cloning and thus creating Man "in his own image". Of course, I am sure Daniel will be quick to defend. To find out more about this, you may read up on Erich von Daniken and Zechariah Sitchin.

Related topics: UFOs, Starchild project, Roswell crash, Dropa stones, Nephilim

Wonder how many people share my views. Believe me.

We are not in a world of our own.

My Opinions

How many of you people out there really know who I am? Truth is, I am introverted and hang out with few people. When I first came into 3E in 2000, I didn't know what to expect. I mean there were people like Terence and Solomon, people who gave me the punk impression. They're bunch of really nice people. There was Yong Feng, whom I only knew as the guy from 1K and 2F. Thought he was a bastard until the Trang Trip, when I began to understand him, with the late night sessions with him and Daniel. There were unfamiliar faces, and there was Mr Ang.

Then I found out how FUN our class was, outgoing, and I wanted to be a part of the gang. So, I tried badly to fit in, by telling lame jokes, I guess that pissed a few of you off. In actual fact I am a lonely and miserable kid who keeps to himself. Singing really takes all this sorrows off me, so perhaps now you know why I love singing so much. I'm a really complex soul I guess, but in the end it didn't stop me from being part of 4E'2001 and playing a part to make it what it is, what it was, and what it will always be. I love 4E.

Oh, I hope you guys will stop associating me with singing and marching, they are not the only things I know of.

And one more thing: Pak Sux.

An Oceanic View

Magnificent sea of blue,
Coupled with a few specks of sparkling,
Much is dull but many not really so.

The ocean is really so wonderful,
Yet in this beauty lies the harshness of the waves,
Torrential rain can come and easily wash the buildings away.

Marvel at the sight of the ocean,
A surface of blue and pacific,
A battle yet rages below in the depths,
Many die and some may fail,
Others just give up hope and a new day – hail.

What a ferocious war it is,
Never to stop for time eternity,
It rages on and on,
Much is dull and those dull warriors collapse and drown,
In the fearsome fury of the fatal fight they come and fall.

No chance for them to survive, anyway,
It is good to see a few who emerge,
And maybe they were just a little lucky,
Maybe they were armed with lethal weapons and Sun Tzu’s Art of War,
Or maybe they donned some better-looking armour,
Not black or brown but white.

It is the awe of all that occurs beneath the surface,
And people wonder how we see and know.
But I tell them that the elementary of it all,
The simple lies that people offer and deliver.

Yet it is good to see,
The sea and ocean teeming with life,
And so majestic, the feeling of it all,
That one feels the pandemonium is nothing,
But maybe peace and serenity.

Typhoon

Storm ravages thru' ere northern lands,
Threatening to kill and murder,
It blows past the desolate steppes,
Swirling in a pool of thunder.

Rain and flood come flowing after,
With Thor following behind,
Nothing the storm spares,
In the air, the stench of bloody brine.
